   At first I didn’t understand what a recycler was.

   Basically the recycle part of the name refers to the type of water filtration. The vapor/smoke is pulled through the perc into the water tank, and goes up into the top chamber before being inhaled. Because of this design, no matter how much water you fill it with you’ll never get any in your mouth. Any water that makes it to the top chamber drains back to the bottom. As much or as little water as you want, pull hard, pull fast, whatever your preference it is always a smooth hit.

   The filtration provides SUPER smooth hits. The water stays fresher a little longer because it is recycled through the entire system. More traditional rigs that use multi-stage percolators trap small amounts of water in many places, making them tough to clean and require maintenaince more often.

   From the first hit I knew this was the only way to go.

   Aside from performance, the Red Eye Tek metallic finishes are GORGEOUS. This one is called ‘green’ but to me it’s more like a lighter version of the ‘blue’ with a few extra hues. Very sturdy and thick. Base is heavy and keeps it from tipping. Despite the fragile appearance at first, it is solid in hand.
